Polk County, Georgia residents enjoy a full calendar of arts events and cultural opportunities, from arts festivals to galleries to live performances.

For more than 36 years, artisans and non-profit groups from Polk County and surrounding areas, have come together to celebrate local talent and entertainment. Sponsored by the Polk County Chamber of Commerce, the event is held the third full weekend in July at Seaborn Jones Park in Downtown Rockmart. There's a ton of fun and exciting things to do.

For more than 50 years, people have been eager to view the juried art works and vendor offerings at this spring festival in Peek Park, Cedartown, which also includes entertainment, food and a road race and fun run.

The RCAC hosts an art gallery, the Rockmart Community Chorus and various art classes. The art gallery features
shows that rotate on a regular basis, featuring works by local artists and from outside sources.

Theatre performances include community and children's theatre productions along with the Rockmart High School Thespians and their productions. Outside shows are also held here. The Rockmart Theatre hosts “The Ma White’s Bottoms Show,” dedicated to the preservation of live
music on stage. Local and area singers, songwriters and musicians are featured
in one of the best sounding rooms in
North Georgia.

The civic auditorium is a 940-seat venue that offers a variety of shows throughout the year. The auditorium has hosted great stars, comedians and country artists such as Mickey Rooney, Jerry Clower, Alabama, Aaron Tippin, Lori Morgan and John Berry. Orchestras such as the Atlanta Symphony, Vienna Boys Choir and many others also have graced the stage.
